Heracles cleaned the Augean Stables

Heracles cleaned the stables yesterday, King Eurystheus  told him that he had to clean it in only one day. It was his fifth task. He didn´t imagine that the stables weren´t cleaned for years. The stables were very dirty and full of shit and other indeseable things. So, Heracles had a great idea that could help him to complete the task. He made a hole in a wall around the stables, then, he dug two trenches to the stables of nearby rivers. Finally, the rivers flowed, cleaning the augean stables.
Now, the rivers are flowing in the augean stables, so they are clean forever.

The authors of this report are the philosophers Jaime, Rodrigo, Antonio and Guillermo.

Heracles kills the Hydra

Y. Ramírez, M. del Fresno, E. Coronel, S. Verdejo

Heracles killed the hydra 100 years ago when it was having dinner in its cave.

King Euristheus set Heracles his second task. He told Heracles to go and kill the Lernean Hydra.
Heracles and his nephew Iolaus went to the cave where the hydra lived.
Heracles surprised the hydra and chopped off its head with his sword.
However the hydra didn´t die. It grew heads to replace the one that was lost.
Heracles kept on chopping off the hydra's heads. Every time he chopped one off two more grew. Then Heracles had an idea: Each time he sliced off a head, Iolaus used a torch to burn the hydra's neck so the head wouldn't grow back.

Eventually the hydra was left without any heads and it was a simple task for Heracles to kill it.

Lanscapes Dioramas

After learning about landscapes, landforms, Spanish rivers... everybody made a diorama related to any of these aspects.

The result was absolutely amazing, have a look at our virtual exhibition of Geographical Art Works.
